New Members Information!

BRONZE MEDALLION CAMP

The Surf Club is running a Bronze Medallion Camp at the end of the year. Registration must be sent to our Chief Instrutor Alex Stoddart by the 17th of December. He can be contacted on 0427 603 798 or click here to email him. The camp will start on the 30th of December*** and continue to the 4th or 5th of January***. The exam is on the 9th of January***. If your at least 13 years old, you're able to gain your Surf Rescue Certificate or your Bronze Medallion (15 y.o. +). The camp involves both sessions to work through theory on Beach Conditions, Life Saving Techniques, First Aid, Resuscitation, etc. and there is also a practical component in the surf, with board and tube rescues and a run-swim-run. Attending this camp involves signing up as a Club Member & once you pass your exam you'll be able to help patrol our beaches through summer. It's great fun, so don't miss out.
